Entering 2030

Report · 2025 · English · Museum Leadership House, Dubai, 10 November 2025

Intro

Museum leaders approach the next decade in a landscape defined by accelerating change, political volatility and rising expectations of public value. At the Museum Leadership House gathering in Dubai, directors and senior executives from across four continents worked through those realities using the Dubai Future Foundation's Global 50 foresight framework, with a keynote by Dr Patrick Noack on the idea of quantum shifts.

The programme followed a deliberate arc — challenges, then opportunities, then leadership vision. This report is written as a strategic reference for boards, directors, funders and policymakers shaping the next decade of museum governance.
