EU Digital Culture Observatory

Description:
We collected and analyzed data on the European cultural industry to identify key participants operating in areas complementary to the Institute for Digital Culture at the University of Leicester.

The project included:

  • Mapping key actors at local, regional, and national levels across Europe

  • Engaging with stakeholders, including museum associations, to gather insights

  • Processing and analyzing data to provide a comprehensive overview of current EU projects and online initiatives

  • Identifying main topics of interest for cultural institutions, such as sustainable innovation, digital content mediation, cross-disciplinary cooperation, digital competences, digital inclusion and accessibility, culture promotion, and digital strategies in museums

Ouput:

Strategic knowledge base that enables targeted partnerships, alignment with relevant initiatives, and positioning within key conversations on digital innovation, inclusion, sustainability, and cross-disciplinary collaboration in museums and the wider cultural field.
